The Making of "Goose Moon"

Here is a slide show of how I created the cover art for the book, Goose Moon. I was inspired by Olivia, Ruby and Lily's (3 very talented girls I know) cardboard box rooms that they made - and decided to make my own! This assignment is part of a master Illustrator's workshop that is being held in conjunction with the Society for Children's Book Writers and Illustrators Conference this weekend.

Thanks everyone! I had a really fun time immersing myself in this little world. I want that "wall paper", too. I have already envisioned another scene I want to do - the silhouette of a woman laying in a big bathtub, looking out over the Puget Sound at a storm in the distance. There needs to be a beaded curtain in there somewhere...
